Prof. Dilin Liu gave a speech on how teaching approaches and practices inspired by such new theories and understandings can make language teaching (especially the teaching lexis and grammar or lexicogrammar) more engaging and effective. The speech will focus on the teaching of language usage issues that researchers and teachers alike have found to be especially difficult to understand and explain, such as the use of collocations, phrasemes (including formulae), prepositions, synonyms, and tenses/aspects.
