English major Lau Kak Chi wins the championship in the university category

Three members of the University of Macau (UM) English Public Speaking Team recently won five prizes in the university category at the 16th Macao-wide English Speech Contest and the 23rd ‘21st century Cup’ National English Speaking Competition Macao Regional Contest. Lau Kak Chi, a first-year student from the Faculty of Arts and Humanities and a member of Shiu Pong College, won the championship and the Best Impromptu Speaker Award. Wong Weng Lam, a fourth-year student from the Faculty of Education and a member of the Stanley Ho East Asia College, won the second prize and the Best Manner Award. Liang Xiaojing, a second-year student from the Faculty of Social Sciences and a member of Shiu Pong College, won a merit award.
